Every now and again we find ourselves in a rut, keeping strictly to our routines out of comfort and fear. Lack of change, lack of flow leads to stagnation, an energetic quicksand, inhibiting growth and dulling inspiration. 

Obsidian is glass formed during volcanic eruptions, a transmutation of elements through fire. In much the same way, working with it allows us to undergo a personal transmutation taking our stagnant energy and reforming it into a stronger and more empowering structure ready to embrace life! 

Gaze into an Obsidian mirror and reflect on what you see without judgment. Ask yourself what is ready to be released, what is ready to transform? Take several deep breaths with eyes closed as you release these parts of yourself to the Divine. Watch the transmutation unfold.
